During the first week of October 2012, FOA sent a medical team to Oyarefa, a town near Accra, the capital city of Ghana to conduct a one week health campaign and leadership training. The outreach was hosted by the Unction House Chapel.
The Health Fair was a smashing success! The FOA medical team partnered with local doctors, nurses and other health workers to raise awareness on preventable diseases including Hypertension, Diabetes, HIV Aids, and Malaria. The team also attended to other health needs including, Hepatitis B, Nutrition, Wound Care and Sanitation.
FOA also conducted a leadership training seminar for community groups aimed at empowering local leaders and spurring initiatives that will promote a state of well-being and self-sufficiency in rural communities.
